Campus campaign hots up

The BackBoris on Campus campaign is going from strength to strength. After a superb start to the school year with our Fresher's Fair outreach where we signed up over 2,000 student supporters, our new activists haven't let any grass grow beneath their feet and are already out campaigning, organising events and recruiting even more supporters.

Since the beginning of October, we've set up three completely new BackBoris on Campus teams - at SOAS, Birkbeck and Middlesex.

London students are Backing Boris in droves - BackBoris on Campus teams have signed up over 1,300 new supporters at Freshers Fairs across the capital.

Kings College London are leading the way nearly 550 new members, followed closely by Westminster, who accumulated 420. Freshers Fair - UEL

Over 50 new supporters and volunteers joined the campaign at the University of East London's Freshers Fair last week.

A group of us went along to spread the word about BackBoris2012, recruit new volunteers and hand out the ever-popular campaign Oyster card holders. We talked to loads of enthusiastic new students, giving them information on upcoming events and how to start a supporters group on their campus.

We're all looking forward to Freshers Fairs across the capital in the days and weeks to come - hope to see you there!
