9 point plan poster launch

Boris Johnson this weekend set out his nine point plan to secure a Greater London, in a speech on Saturday and then at the launch of the poster campaign on Sunday.
1,000 posters will go up across London - from Croydon to Enfield and Hillingdon to Havering. They detail Boris’s determination to end the waste and mismanagement of the previous Mayor to free up money to pay for a strong plan for London’s future.

My 9 point plan for London

I hope I am not normally seen as a pessimistic sort of character, but at the Mayoral election on May 3rd I am afraid I see real risks for this city.
The election comes at a critical time for London. Londoners are going through one of the most difficult periods in recent memory. Despite this, we're making progress. Progress that would be put at risk if we were to take the wrong turn now.

£3.5m to further cut youth re-offending rates

As part of his vision for a safer London, Mayor Boris Johnson has announced £3.5 million of funding to further address youth re-offending over the next three years.
The grant will help support 14-17 year olds who have been remanded or sentenced to custody as they transition to release, motivating them to take advantage of educational opportunities, training and employment prospects.

Transport investment cannot be put at risk

Today, new official figures show that Tube reliability is at its highest performance levels in a decade. Passenger numbers are soaring on London Underground and average delays are at their lowest since 2003/04 according to the latest performance figures.
Such news shows that Boris Johnson’s investment in the Tube is working - delivering real benefits for Londoners, improving infrastructure and growing London’s economy.

Boris: Support apprenticeships to help unemployed back to work

Boris Johnson has today defended businesses that offer the young a chance of real work, saying they should be praised, not vilified:
We have more and more young people out of work, and who find themselves caught in a catch-22. They are told they can’t get a job unless they have some work experience; and they can’t get any work experience unless someone is willing to give them a job.

BackBoris phone canvassing

On Monday, I had a great time at Conservative HQ phoning Londoners about their priorities for London and to see what they thought of Boris. There was an extra buzz in the room because Boris was there in person and so it gave us all an even greater sense of urgency and purpose to what we were doing!
