Campus campaign hots up

The BackBoris on Campus campaign is going from strength to strength. After a superb start to the school year with our Fresher's Fair outreach where we signed up over 2,000 student supporters, our new activists haven't let any grass grow beneath their feet and are already out campaigning, organising events and recruiting even more supporters.

Since the beginning of October, we've set up three completely new BackBoris on Campus teams - at SOAS, Birkbeck and Middlesex.

In less than a week the SOAS team went from one to 20 and is already planning campus campaign days, as well as social events to reach an even bigger group of students. Edmund Chapman, co-chair of the SOAS team, shared his excitement about the future of the campaign on campus and spreading the word about the fantastic things Boris has achieved in office like championing apprenticeships, investing in transport and getting more police on the streets.

Our enthusiastic Birkbeck team leader planning a mass recruitment drive in the next month and is looking forward to building a great team on her campus, while at Middlesex University - another new recruit to BackBoris on Campus, over 100 eager supporters signed on to help the campaign.

There are now teams on almost every university in the capital. To find out who your team leader is or for more information on setting up a branch at your university, visit our campus page: www.backboris2012.com/campus
