Freshers Fair - KCL & Westminster

King's College London

Report by James Davenport

The newly created King's College London BackBoris society signed up over 400 new Boris Backers over two days at the KCL Fresher’s Fair!

Dressed in the latest Back Boris t-shirts, an enthusiastic group of King’s students distributed leaflets and the incredibly popular BackBoris2012 oyster card holders to freshers, current students and members of staff.  The student body at King’s were incredibly receptive to Boris as the KCL BackBoris society stole a march on Labour with Ken supporters nowhere to be seen.

The enthusiasm generated at the fair bodes well for the campaign at KCL this year and we're already looking forward to our next event.

University of Westminster

Report by Andrei Vocai

Fresher’s Week at the University of Westminster saw us hand out 2,000 BackBoris2012 Oyster Card holders, over 1,000 leaflets and sign up hundreds of new Boris Backers.

We spoke to new and returning students about what Mayor Johnson has done for London, like cuting crime, putting more police on the streets, improving our transport and supporting thousands of apprenticeships, to name just a few! And University of Westminster  shared with us some of the things they like best about Boris - Barclays Cycle hire and the fact that the Mayor is a man who keeps his word were two of the most popular things.

We're planning a great year on the University of Westminster campus, so get involved today!
