Boris: Retrofit to save money & create jobs
Boris Johnson has called on businesses and private, public, commercial and residential landlords in the capital to help deliver London’s biggest ever retrofitting programme.
Retrofitting businesses and homes across the capital with energy saving measures could save close to a billion pounds each year and is part of an effort to help significantly cut youth unemployment, as well. The Mayor believes that if every eligible London home, business and public organisation proactively retrofitted their premises, it would significantly impact youth unemployment in the city by creating tens of thousands of new jobs.
