Mayor drives first New Bus for London off production line
Mayor Johnson today drove the very first New Bus for London off the production line, taking a major step towards fulfilling the commitment in his 2008 election manifesto to return hop-on hop-off buses to the capital's streets.
The New Bus for London is the first bus designed specifically for the streets of London in more than 50 years. It incorporates the most innovative and cutting edge hybrid technology and will be the most environmentally friendly bus of its kind when it enters passenger service.
